Chinenyenwa Ohia

Chinenyenwa is a Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, Faculty of Public Health, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH, Environmental Health) degree from the University of Ibadan and Bachelor degree in Agriculture(Crop Protection and Environmental Biology) also from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. My research interests are: infectious disease and vector control especially mosquito-borne disease transmission; their current magnitude, evaluation of prevention measures and toxicological impact of interventions on endemic communities; development of novel and nano-technologies in disease management and Environmental health. I love reading, writing and travelling. Alongside my academic responsibilities, I am actively involved- through my pet project- in mentoring the girl-child through engagement with identified role models to maximize the potentials of the African girl to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) career paths.
