About Alex Ntamatungiro
Alex Ntamatungiro, is a Tanzanian Health Scientist, with over 8 years experience in clinical research laboratory procedures and systems. He is currently a CARTA doctoral fellow at the school of public health -Wits University. Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular biology from the University of Dar es Salaam(UDSM), and a Master’s degree in Molecular biology of Infectious diseases from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine(LSHTM). He has strong research interest in infectious diseases dynamics. Alex has practical experience in small – mid sized projects management, and as a principal applicant he has competitively won research grants from the Wellcome-trust fund, UK and Grand Challenge Canada, with overall support level of about US $ 200,000. Alex provides technical support to the National Health Laboratory Strengthen System project in Tanzania.
