Dr. John Bosco Isunju

John Bosco is a Lecturer in the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health at the Makerere University School of Public Health (MaKSPH). His background and research interests are in Environmental Health, Reproductive health and Health systems, infection prevention and control (IPC) and the pathways through which the environment impacts health including access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), environmental pollution, Geospatial Health, and disaster risk reduction. He is the Secretary of the MaKSPH Research and Ethics Committee (REC), and is a member of the Academic programmes and Library; Information and Communication Technology and Public Relations committee, and he is the Coordinator for the Doctor of Public Health Programme (DrPH). John is also a member of the Grants and Research Capacity Building Committees at MaKSPH. He has been involved as a Lead Consultant on multiple assignments with leading practitioners such as WHO, SNV, GiZ, WaterAid, IOM, Amref Health Africa, Living Water International, GOAL, AAH, ResilientAfrica Network (RAN), Ministry of Health, Ministry of Water and Environment among others. He has published several peer-reviewed journal articles (https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7396-7851) and presented at a number of international conferences.
